Vita Muccia
Vita Muccia is a 26 year old actor, and writer based in Costa Mesa, CA. She received her BA from University of California, San Diego in 2021, and currently works at at South Coast Repertory in the Education Department. Throughout college, she pursued theatre performance, participating in various productions spanning from student work to full produced department pieces. She has worked across Southern California, performing in pieces at La Jolla Playhouse, Shank Theatre, The Long Beach Playhouse, and Modjeska Unscripted Theatre. She is currently studying at South Coast Repertory and The Groundlings School in Los Angeles.

Vita grew up in a traditional Italian-American home in Southern California, in worlds that often contradicted each other, but could agree that pursuing anything in theatre was not a smart decision. She wants her work to motivate “the awkward girl” who found something she loved, and pursues it in the face of obstacles and lack of support, while embolden creatives to try anything that speaks to their soul.

Her interest in writing peaked at UCSD, completing multiple 10 minute pieces, and a one act piece. Her 10 minute play PULL, is included on the New Play Exchange Database. While performing in Long Beach Playhouse’s production of The Diary of Anne Frank as Anne Frank, she published an article in 11 Second Magazine documenting her experiences and reflections of playing such an iconic character, who is often exempt from having relatable, petty, truly human emotions. She is currently writing her piece Robbed in collaboration with the EMBARK playwriting Co-Hort in alliance with the Wayward Artist and Orange County Playwrights Alliance.
